Imagine being able to use your patio as a shaded retreat in the hot summer months. This is the perfect addition to a luxury outdoor space. Our modern louvered pergola design invites you to unwind while providing the stability of structural fiberglass.
Shade is provided by fixed louvered rafters at 45 degrees, offering total coverage from one side while allowing light in from the other.
We don't make it until you order it. Size, height, color, and even the shape (within reason!) are all up to you. If you need to hang a fan, we can include a cross beam. We can even include a privacy screen on one or more sides.
Because of demand and the custom nature of this product, we are always managing a queue of orders. This requires a lead time from the time an order is placed until shipment. We are up front about lead times and provide estimates of ship dates.

Pavers, tiles, and stones are very popular in constructing patios today, and it's easy to why--They look GREAT! However, you should not rest pergola columns directly on top of them or anchor to them.
Columns should anchor to and rest directly on concrete footings, as shows in the installation guide. Pavers can then be placed around the column.
If your pavers are thick, ask us to make the column a little longer to account for the height clearance you desire to account for the thickness of the pavers.

As soon as we receive your order, we reach out to our suppliers / factories to confirm lead time and expected ship date. If your item is expected to be delayed we'll reach out to you via e-mail. Pergola lead times (Vinyl & Fiberglass) usually run from two to four weeks from the time the order is placed to the ship date. Lead time is based on your order's being paid and your drawings being signed and returned to us. Custom pergolas or orders placed in peak season (usually February through September) can take longer, and we'll inform of the expected ship date when the order is placed. We will process charges for all orders ahead of time.
Canceling an order within 24 hours will cost nothing more than the 2.9% credit card processing fee we cannot get back from our credit card service provider (if you wire or ACH your payment then this does not apply).
Canceling anytime after 24 hours will result in at least a 10% administrator & material fee. Almost every pergola is made to order so after the first 24 hours your materials have been ordered and are usually custom sized to your exact project.
Once our customers confirm the drawings or sign our purchase agreement (usually within a week of purchasing) there will be no way to cancel the order for less than a 30% restocking fee (but this number could vary depending on how custom the project is).
If a customer wants to cancel an order after Product Inspection Reports (for Aluminum Units) or tracking information has been given the restocking fee will be 40% plus the administration fee of 10% will be added to equal 50% in total fees.
This would give a maximum of 50% refunded to customer as Peaceful Patios builds all of its units made to order for each individual customer who purchases from us. Custom units are described in more detail below.
We will send you tracking information within 24 - 48 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address your provide when checking out. Some units are sent to a main depot where it is then placed on a truck and you get your shipping information directly from the shipping company. If you do not receive tracking information or shipping notification from us within the lead time we first provided to you, please contact us at Support@PeacefulPatios.com.
While Peaceful Patios is a growing company we are not large enough to have our own drivers to deliver our products directly from our warehouses / manufactures to our customer.
Due to this we do hire third party shipping companies and sometimes freight forwarders to deliver your products. If things are delayed, damaged, held up in customs, waiting for paperwork at a transloading facility, etc... those are things that are out of our control.
We understand frustration with delays but if you use our site and purchase from us you understand that these are things that our out of our control and should not be reflective of our company making quality pergola units!
Many of our customers don't have prior experience receiving a freight shipment. It's not difficult as long as you know what to expect. Also note that if this option isn't a good option for you, we offer a good alternative.
Your pergola will arrive in a large truck, and you or someone you appoint (a contractor, for example) must be present to unload the pergola. We recommend having a crowbar, box cutter, and tin snips on hand to open the crate. You and one other person should be able to unload the crate piece by piece in about 15-20 minutes. The individual components are not very heavy. Please note that the driver is not obligated to help unload.
If you have a very long driveway or live on a road that prevents a tractor trailer from maneuvering, please let us know. We can arrange for your pergola to be delivered to a freight terminal near you.
Depending on your location, we offer an unloading service that will unload your pergola for you for an additional charge. For fiberglass pergolas, we include this service with the cost of delivery unless it's unavailable in your area.
The advantage to delivering to a terminal is you don't have to be present. Most terminals will give you a day or two to pick up your shipment. If this appears to be the best option for you, we'll locate the nearest terminal and let you determine if it's close enough to the destination. You should also note that you'll need to arrange for a truck or trailer large enough to transport your pergola home. In some cases, the contractor will pick up the shipment from the terminal, as contractors tend to have trucks capable of moving large shipments.
If a forklift and loading dock is on site, you should be able to use it to unload the crate all at once. If not, you must unload it in pieces by hand as described above unless White Glove Service is included with the order.
Our products are durable, so receiving damaged parts due to shipping is rare. Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to Support@PeacefulPatios.com and we will file a claim with the freight carrier and rush the parts you need at no cost to you.
If you do not see any damages and sign off on the paperwork it will make it almost impossible for us to correct damaged parts found at a later date (example: during installation a week later).
If you need to return an item, you must contact us prior to shipping the item back so we can be sure your item reaches the correct warehouse. Any returned item sent to the incorrect address or without required preauthorization will delay your credit for the return and possibly make you ineligible for the refund.
For returns please reference our Canceling an Order Policy above as the restocking fee will apply to all orders as well an important note below.
If you receive a completely different pergola than the one you ordered, you may return the product at no cost to you and we will get the correct pergola to you.
If your order is a standard model (precut fiberglass or vinyl options), and it arrives damaged and cannot be repaired to new condition with new parts we supply for free, you may return the product at no cost to you as we rebuild and make you another unit to ship out to you.
Returns of standard models (precut fiberglass and vinyl models) for any other reason are subject up to a 30% restocking fee, and the customer is responsible for paying return freight. Items must be in original packaging.
Custom orders or any pergolas that have been trimmed to fit a space different from a standard size are not returnable, as we are unable to resell them.
Choosing colors, adding height, privacy screens, etc... all count as a custom order that makes it much tougher for us to resell.
It will be at our companies discretion for each custom order to consider a return; but please keep in mind the Canceling an Order section above.
We accept non-damaged heater and switch/control returns within 30 days of delivery. No questions asked.
We wish to clarify explicitly that Peaceful Patios does not entertain requests for refunds, chargebacks, or resale of any custom-sized, modified, or aluminum pergolas purchased from us. This policy is stipulated in our terms of service and our shipping and returns policies, and is reiterated here for complete clarity.
Despite this, we strive to serve our customers optimally, offering a generous compensation structure for any unforeseen circumstances during transit. Your satisfaction remains our ultimate objective.

Arbors Direct extends the following Limited Warranty (the “Warranty”) to original purchasers of its materials and components (the “Product”).
An “Original Purchaser” is a retailer, distributor, builder or supplier that purchases the Product or the first individual homeowner who purchases the Product from a retailer, distributor, builder or supplier, whether or not the Product has been installed.
This Warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners of the property on which the Product has been installed.
Excepting finishes, which are addressed below, Arbors Direct warrants that when used under conditions of normal use and service and when properly installed in conformance with all Arbors Direct installation instructions and all governing building codes, the Product shall conform to the specifications set forth in Arbors Direct’s published specifications in effect as of the date of shipment by Arbors Direct and shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. Should a Product prove defective after review by Arbors Direct of any claim, Arbors Direct will provide replacement parts of those materials that it deems defective after its review. Installation and labor costs are NOT covered under this Warranty.
Single Family Residential - Limited Lifetime
MF Residential or Commercial - 25 Years
Arbors Direct warrants that the finish it has applied to the product will be free from defects. When used for its intended purpose, properly installed and maintained according to Arbors Direct‘s installation instructions, for a period of 10 years from the date of shipment (a) will not peel (b) will not chip and (c) will not crack. This Warranty does not cover against fade or chalk of the Finish due to normal weathering. Normal weathering means exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather and atmosphere, which will cause any painted surface to gradually fade, chalk or accumulate dirt over time. This Warranty will cover Arbors Direct‘s finish against excess color change beyond normal weathering. Excess color change means a change in color of Arbors Direct‘s Finish by greater than four (4) delta E units. Arbors Direct shall have the sole discretion to determine whether the Product exhibits excess color change.
Only “finishes” applied by Arbors Direct are covered under this Warranty; for purposes of this Limited Warranty, “finish” means any paint or coating or cap stock applied by Arbors Direct. With respect to any paint or other coating applied to the Product after shipment by Arbors Direct, Original Purchasers must look to the warranty or warranties, if any, of the paint or coating manufacturer of such paint or coating for recourse as to defects or any other issue concerning such post-shipment, applied coatings.
This Warranty is not transferable and it is subject to the following general conditions and exclusions described below:
There are certain conditions or applications over which Arbors Direct has no control. This Warranty does not cover defects or problems as a result of such conditions or applications, including, but not limited to the following:
THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF; ARBORS DIRECT MAKES NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHATSOEVER WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE.
By purchasing or using the Product, you agree that you have not and are not relying on any statement, representation, warranty, or agreement, including any representations, warranties or agreements arising from statute or otherwise in law, except for the warranties and representations expressly contained in this Limited Warranty.
Arbors Direct’s provision of replacement parts is its sole liability and entire obligation under this Limited Warranty; Original Purchaser’s remedies shall be limited solely and exclusively to the replacement of defective or non-conforming products. Arbors Direct shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages relating to the purchase or use of the Product.
No action arising out of any claimed breach of this Limited Warranty by Arbors Direct may be brought more than ninety (90) days after the claim has accrued.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty is only applicable in the United States & Canada.
Heartland Pergolas warrants its structures, when properly installed with Hurricane Clips, to withstand damage from wind. We will replace or refund the purchase price of damaged materials. Damaged components are subject to terms below and do not include damage from wind-blown objects.
Heartland Pergolas does not warrant damage from wind without installation of Hurricane Clips
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover the cost of installing any product, the cost of removing or disposing of any product, or the cost of installing any replacement product furnished under the terms of the warranty.
The lifetime coverage of this warranty only covers products used on residential property where the owner resides, during the owner’s lifetime. The warranty period for products installed on property that is not residential property where the owner resides, including but not limited to schools, condominiums, apartment buildings, and rental property – or on property owned by other owners including but not limited to corporations, government agencies, partnerships, trusts, religious organizations, and cooperatives will be thirty (30) years following the installation of the products and is limited to the original owner (non-transferable).
Heartland Pergolas shall not be liable for and this warranty does not apply to any failure, defect, or damage resulting from or connected with the following:
Installation or handling of products after they leave our facility, including any lack of performance or improper performance in any way by the contractor or other installer
Abnormal use of the products
The application of paint, varnish or other coating or chemical not approved by Heartland Pergolas or the application of heat or radiation from an external source such as a barbecue grill, another appliance, fire or reflection from windows or doors
Any lack of compatibility between our products and any other product not manufactured by us that causes damage to or failure of our products
Labor, transportation, or installation costs
Color or pattern variance between any new replacement section or piece and other sections or pieces. (We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any product line or color without notifying the original purchaser. If the original product is not available, we retain the right to choose to provide replacement material of equal value or quality.)
Damage caused by, among other things, weathering, oxidation, mold, mildew, settling of the building, failure of the structure (including foundations and walls), use of incompatible accessories, fire, flood, lightning, ice, wind-borne objects, earthquake, sun, acts of God, intentional acts, unreasonable use, misuse, physical abuse, vandalism, riot, insurrection or civil disorder, accidents, or corrosive atmospheres (such as those contaminated by acid rain, harmful chemicals, or vapors)
Color change due to weathering that is even and equal when exposed to the same or similar sunlight and other environmental conditions is excluded from the warranty because weathering will cause any colored surface to gradually lighten, darken, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains (the severity of these conditions depends on air quality, the geographic location of the property, and other local conditions over which Heartland Pergolas has no control)
Other defects not caused by Heartland Pergolas
Ordinary wear and tear
Heartland Pergolas and its employees are not qualified to approve, recommend, or advise as to the suitability of Heartland Pergolas products for all possible uses or applications.
The local building code authority or fire marshal’s office should be consulted on the safety and suitability of any Heartland Pergolas product for a proposed use.
A claim under this warranty must be reported in writing, with proof of purchase, to Heartland Pergolas, 21060 Holden Drive, Davenport, Iowa, 52806, within thirty (30) days of the date that the defect is first discovered or reasonably could be discovered. Heartland Pergolas will then have a reasonable time to inspect or, at Heartland Pergolas’ option, to have the product shipped to Heartland Pergolas for examination of the alleged defect. Heartland Pergolas may require photographs of components or the structure to ascertain misuse or improper installation. Heartland Pergolas shall be the sole judge of whether the product is defective and whether the defect is due to manufacturing or installation. If, after its inspection, Heartland Pergolas determines the claim is in accordance with the terms of this Limited Lifetime Warranty, then Heartland Pergolas will, at its option, replace the defective section or part or provide a refund according to the following schedules:

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OF MERCHANTABILITY, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY CONTAINED IN THIS WARRANTY DOCUMENT, UNLESS A SHORTER PERIOD IS PERMITTED BY LAW. IN NO EVENT WILL HEARTLAND PERGOLAS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR THE PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, OWNERSHIP, OR USE OF HEARTLAND PERGOLAS BUILDING PRODUCTS. YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND HEARTLAND PERGOLAS’ EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO WHAT APPEARS IN THIS DOCUMENT. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
This warranty shall only be applicable & enforceable in the United States of America and Canada.

Can I get this in black? Can a shade be attached to one side and go from top to bottom?
Yes! We can apply a color coating in any color from Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. Shades have been attached to these, but we do not provide them.
What is the space between louvers? Can you vary the spacing?
Standard spacing is 1" between louvers. We can increase the space between them at your request, but we cannot space them tighter than 1". This ensures we don't have an issue with snow load and weight distribution.
Do you provide design with motorized louver option?
Unfortunately we don't at this time. The louvers on this pergola are fixed--they don't open and close.
Do you have sale representatives in Minnesota? Can you recommend someone to measure and install a pergola?

You should be able to do this. Be sure to inspect all parts to be sure nothing is stripped before reinstalling.

We don't have installers. We design, make, and ship them. Any qualified contractor can install them.
I’m interested in a 16’ x 16’ unit...what would a 9’ gift option be priced at. I’d like it to be SW 7062 Rock Bottom. Would that still be (4) 8x8 posts? And they are self-supporting, not sleeves for a wood post? I will most likely place them on sonotubes due to frost depth. I can embed your anchor bolts into them? Do you have optional shades - to block sun?
A 16x16 would require 10x10 posts. Columns are load bearing and support the pergola. We have steel anchor systems that will anchor to concrete. A 16x16 should work with our standard anchor system unless you need to upgrade due to high winds. We don't sell shades, but we do offer privacy screens like the image on the page.
I'm not sure what you mean about the 9' gift option.
Do you have modern style pergola with moveable louvers?
Unfortunately, we do not.
Can I drill into a fiberglass pergola to install a side shade?
That should be fine, but please let us know what kind of shade you plan on installing so we can see if it complies with the warranty.
1. Is this pergola painted, or is the color baked into the fiberglass? If painted, how often does it have to be repainted? 2. Can you make one in a shape that is not square? 3. How can someone be found to install it?
It's painted. At least ten years before needing paint. Warranty also covers paint for ten years. We can do some other shapes. You can send us a simple sketch to support@peacefulpatios.com if you'd like to see if we can do what you have in mind. Any competent contractor can install our pergolas. Installation instructions are on the product page for reference.
Will the 12’x12’ pergola fit on a concrete pad of the same dimension (12’x12’)?
We would want to reduce the measurements by 1" to give you at least 1/2" on each side to ensure stability. This would not be a problem.
Can u add a ceiling fan and LED lights
Yes. Adding a fan will require an additional beam on the top. You can add lights if they aren't too heavy and you don't cut into fiberglass. Drilling a few holes is OK.
How much does it add to the cost to paint it black? I'm looking at a 12' x 12' pergola
For this one, choice of color is included in the price.

Hi! We live in south Florida. Would these withstand hurricane force winds?
We can include wind load plates which have increased wind load rating on our predesigned pergolas to 165+ mph. The modern pergola is a custom made model, so I can't say it has the same rating. However, wind load ratings on our predesigned peroglas have increased from 90 mph to 165 mph with the plates.
Three of the four posts would be in the ground, one post would be installed on stamped concrete. Would that be possible?
You can use footings for the posts on the ground. Stamped concrete might work as long as the base of the column is uniformly compressed against it. It must be flat.

We can have engineering done with Florida stamps. Commercial projects such as apartments aren't a problem, as our pergolas have been used for many. We do not install.
Can the louvers be manually closed so I can cover the roof if it rains? If not, what are my options to protect myself from rain?

These are fixed louvers and even louvered systems that are not 'fixed' often don't or can't close completely due to expansion and contraction with the weather, resulting in leakage. Some customers have placed a polycarbonate top, placed aftermarket woud allow for light and complete rain protection.
We are currently researching retractable canvas shade options, and I would be happy to discuss this possible option more.

Would this pergola hold up well (i.e., no heat damage or discoloration) over a gas firepit?
That's a great question. The answer is absolutely yes. With our standard height of eight feet and the fiberglass built to withstand 600 degrees Fahrenheit, you can absolutely enjoy your firepit, grill, or smoker beneath your pergola and know that you're covered by our ten year paint warranty AND our limited lifetime warranty on the entire structure.

Can a top be added to protect from the rain (as well as providing shade via the louvers)? Can this be fabricated in an 8' x 12' size?

We have a few recommenadtions that can be put into place to accomodate your shade and rain protection. One of the options that can be recommended is polycarbonate, which is easy to clean and install. Our pergolas can be manufactured in any custom size, and polycarbonate would fit well on that size pergola.

The 'standard' height is with 8' columns, which makes the underside (headspace) 8 feet and the very top of the Pergola 8'8" -- It's available in any color in the Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore rainbow and has a 10-year warranty on paint. As far as the material; this is fiberglass, so you're rated for heat up to 600 degrees and fiberglass by its very nature is non-combustible.

Columns should rest on concrete footings. Pavers can be placed around the column. Pavers don't provide enough stability to mount directly to them.
Will the outer beam hold 500 lbs for a swing chair?

Yes! Product is very durable and can withstand winds in excess of 100 mph by using wind load plates.
How much customizing can you do? We would need shorter support columns to sit on a common wall on our roof deck, and would want face plate to attach to a pilot house on the other side. Also, we want to have it installed on top of our roof deck...does this come disassembled?
We can customize quite a bit! Shorter columns and attaching to a house isn't a problem. Components are shipped in a crate for you or your contractor to assemble them on site.

Yes, it can be mounted to existing concrete. We offer a wind plate that has been rated at 175 MPH. Pergola has 8' 4" of clearance underneath and is 9' overall. See drawings on the product page for an example of plans.
In the stock photo it looks like there are lights mounted towards the top of the posts. Are those available to preorder? Or the manufacturer name??
A customer installed those on her pergola. She got them here. They aren't bright, but they offer a subtle light. We think they look great!

Thanks! These structures are extremely sturdy and well suited to Florida. In fact, we have our engineering done in Florida. As a result, they are wind load rated to face Florida winds. They are anchored with a stainless steel rod through the middle of the columns. We can use wind plates that have been rated at 175 mph.

Yes. It can be secured to an existing slab or footings. It can also be mounted to a deck.
